		Crew\'s Choice Award Voted on by the crew of the simm being given by. There are no real criteria, this is just intended to recognize the player which the crew feels excelled during that mission.		Details
		DeForest Kelley Humor Award This award is meant to help us all remember that a bit of light-heartedness goes a long way; even in the face of danger. DeForest Kelley was as much a comedian as he was an actor of the 20th century. Therefore, this is as much a tribute to him as it is an award to any recipient. This award can be given to any player in Obsidian Fleet.		Details
		Friendship Ribbon For the development of a meaningful character relationship. The friendship may be either with an NPC of the player?s own design or with another player character or another Player?s NPC. The friendship should be an unfolding story over the course of multiple posts and impact the character(s) lives significantly. The friendship must be non-romantic in nature.		Details
		Good Conduct Medal For exceptional performance of one?s duties. This Medal denotes a committed and dependable individual both on and off duty.		Details
		Heart of the Tiger Awarded to the crew member that writes supreme battle posts, making their posts enjoyable and exciting to read in the heat of battle. This award is given to one naval crew member and one marine crew member each time it is awarded, if applicable.		Details
		Marksmanship Award For recognition of firearm abilities. Defense of the Federation and her Allies requires action. Proficiency with firearms is a valued skill and this ribbon is to recognize those individuals who prove exceptional in their use.		Details
		Most Improved Player This award will be given to the player that shows the most improvement from the previous mission. Truly an award to be cherished, as it is a result of a lot of time and hard work.		Details
		Newcomer of the Month This award will be given to the newest member of the crew that puts in the most effort to make their character a valuable addition. It is awarded once per mission.		Details
		Non-Playing Character Award For the development of Non-Playing Characters. The lives of our characters are in a setting populated by countless other people who are important to our featured individuals. This award marks the achievement of a player for his/ her development of engaging, detailed NPCs who add realism and dimension to the SIMM.		Details
		Obsidian Fleet Distinguished Service Cross - USS Frontier Awarded to a member of the crew that has been with the ship for 3 months. This award is non-cumulative.		Details

		Obsidian Fleet Merit for Time Served - USS Frontier Awarded to crewmembers who have served on the ship for one year. This award is non-cumulative.		Details

		Outstanding Volunteer Award For the player who makes every effort to find significant ways to lend a hand to the sim?s command staff. Performs excellent support work to the best of his/her abilities. Reserved for out of character contributions only, as such efforts differ in scope and often involve a players personal time commitment beyond the game play. (Not as prestigious as the Ribbon of Commitment)		Details
		Plot Development Citation For developing the current plot line and making it original and unexpected yet not unbelievable. In other words, the crew member that throws the best \"monkey wrenches\" into the plot to make it interesting, but not totally off-center		Details
		Professional Merit Award Awarded to the character that has developed his/her character with considerable talent, making that character a joy to interact with.		Details
		Purple Heart Awarded to personnel who are injured in the line of duty. They do not have to be on their deathbed, or even have broken limbs and such. Basically, any injury(ies) that a CO feels worth making record of should recieve this award.		Details
		Recruitment Award For recognition of recruitment sucesses. In order to secure a bright and long lasing future for Obsidian Fleet, there must be always the continual introduction of excited and eager new players. This award is to recognize those who have successfully recruited a new player to the sim who remains on the sim for a minimum period of 3 months. (OOC award, not avail to CO of Sim where Recruit has joined)		Details
		Rose Award Awarded to the crew member that has made significant \"romantic\" character advancements. This has become an award in itself because romance gives a sense of realism and constant battle-only posts can get stale. Crew members that progress their character in a romantic setting recognition in this respect.		Details
		Service Accomodation Awarded to the crew member that performs his/her character\'s job and advances above and beyond the job description they were \"hired\" to follow.		Details
		Silver Star The crew member that demonstrates supreme postings, posts often, and plays his/her character \"to the hilt\" will receive this award. Arguably considered one of the highest honors a crew member can receive.		Details
		Technical Medal Awarded to the crewmember that follows the technical standards of the Star Trek universe, incorporating them into their posts with nearly flawless precision.		Details
		Training Badge For completing and passing a course of study. The training badge recognizes a player for completing and passing a course in the Cadet Academy of any major Fleet.		Details
		Unit Citation Awarded to the crew member that shows considerable talent in working with other crewmembers to create a winning plot line worthy of the vessel\'s reputation.		Details
		Unsung Hero Award For recognition of support actions in character. While heroism is often recognized, the silent and ever ready support crew can be overlooked. They are the ones who are always there to back us up, and their support makes the real difference when the heat is on. This award can only be applied to In Character actions.		Details
		Antagonist Award This award denotes a players exceptionally well crafted villain contributed to a sim\'s plotline convincingly over a series of posts.		Details
		Creativity Award The Creativity Award is presented to those who come up with an outstanding idea during a mission.		Details
		Departmental Service Badge: Command Awarded for service in the command department, including departments of Command, Strategic Operations, Flight Operations, and Communications.		Details
		Departmental Service Badge: Service Awarded for service in the service department, including departments of Operations, Security, Tactical, and Engineering.		Details
		Departmental Service Badge: Science Awarded for service in the science department, including departments of Science, Medical, and Counseling.		Details

		Exemplary Courage Award Officers who put themselves in grave danger by going far beyond the normal call of duty qualify for this medal.		Details
		Flying Cross Presented to a Flight Control Officer for exhibiting outstanding flying abilities.		Details
		Geneva Peace Ribbon This ribbon is presented to individuals who were responsible for attaining a peaceful resolution between two conflicting parties.		Details
		Humanitarian Cross In recognition of efforts to relieve suffering of any person(s) within or outside of federation borders.		Details
		Intelligence Prowess Award This award is given to an Intelligence Officer who has gone out of their way to protect and better Obsidian Fleet.		Details
		Joint Service Commendation Medal Awarded to Starfleet/Starfleet Marine Corps personnel who participate in a major joint mission with other simms.		Details
		Kublai Khan Award This award is presented to an individual who is a key part of developing new tactical combat maneuvers while in hand-to-hand combat; not to be confused with the ship-to-ship award, which is similair.		Details
		Medal of Honor This medal is awarded for the showing of bravery and valor in the heat of combat.		Details
		Montgomery Scott Award (Formerly Engineering Ingenuity Award) This is given to those who develop useful new technologies, Engineering-oriented upgrades, techniques and so forth.		Details
		Patterson Ribbon of Excellence This is issued to Starfleet\'s Medical officers who do something very special in the field.		Details
		POW Ribbon of Sacrifice Given to Starfleet officers who are captured by enemy forces for any length of time.		Details
		Ribbon of Committment Given to a person who has truly put forth an undisputable amount of extra effort.		Details
		Ribbon of Compassion This ribbon is for those in the Counseling field. The awardee must have truly gone out of their way to help out a fellow crewman/crewmen.		Details
		Ribbon of Merit This ribbon is used to symbolize the great sacrifice that the men and women of StarFleet endure.		Details
		Tactical Superiority Award Presented to individuals who play a major role (or even solely) develop new tactics and/or combat manuevers while in ship-to-ship combat; not to be confused with the hand-to-hand award, which is similair.		Details
		Tour of Duty Award - Breen This ribbon is issued to all participating players at the end of a mission that posts the simm to the borders or interior regions of Breen space.		Details
		Tour of Duty Award - Cardassian This ribbon is issued to all participating players at the end of a mission that posts the sim to the borders or interior regions of Cardassian space.		Details

		Obsidian Fleet\'s Character of the Year This award is given annually in January of each year and is decided upon by nominations from ship CO\'s. Post samples are not required, but reasons for the nomination are. Posts should be available upon request, though.		Details
		William Riker XO of the Year Award This award is given annually in January of each year and is decided upon by nominations from ship CO\'s. One XO is chosen from the nominations recieved to recieve the award. Post samples are not required, but reasons for the nomination are.		Details
		Obsidian Fleet\'s James T. Kirk CO of the Year Award This award is given annually in January of each year and is decided upon by nominations from Task Force CO\'s and Task Group CO\'s. 		Obsidian Fleet\'s SIMM of the Year Award This is used to recognize the Obsidian Fleet sim which has done their very best to embody the spirit of the Fleet in their actions both in character and out of character. 		Action Award Awarded to crew members that write battle posts that are detailed, enjoyable and exciting to read.		Details

		Shining Star of El-Auria Created from a very rare substance found only in El-Aurian space, the Shining Star of El-Auria was once considered to be the highest honor an El-Aurian could receive. On the USS Frontier, this award is only given out to those who go above and beyond the call of duty, not just when they are asked to, but whenever they can, thus contributing greatly to the quality of the SIMM. Also validly awarded to personnel who suffer serious injury while attempting to save lives in this manner. This award can be given posthumously.		Details
		SIMM Contribution Award For players who make valuable contributions to the simm out of character (assisting the command staff, graphics/website help, recruiting new players, etc).		Details
		Tasha Yar Medal of Honor This award is given to those who have risked their lives in Close Protection duties, regardless of injuries sustained. Note ? the recipient must have committed an act of bravery and/or gallantry in an effort to save their subject from death or injury.		Details
		Technical Award Given to crewmembers that follow and integrate the technical aspects of the Star Trek universe into their posts.		Details

		Arrenhe Louris CO of the Year Award Named in honor of one of the founding COs of Horizon Fleet, Arrenhe Chan-Louris, this award is given to COs who show great dedication to their ship, outstanding leadership, and who provide a quality simming environment for everyone on their simm, players and guest alike.
