Physical Description		John Forest stands at 1.83 meters tall and weighs in at 200 Lbs. He has a medium length dark blonde hair with ocean blue eyes. Forest is a scar left fore-arm from when a plasma conduit blew out in a station he was near. He also has a small scar above his eye from when he was young and he jumped off his porch onto a wood pile.

Personality & Traits

General Overview		John Forest has been known to be a little wreckless at times but at other times, shows amazing self restraint. John Has never been one to be caught sitting down, he is always doing something. You are likely to find him on the hollodeck playing some sort of program with his friends, or at a concert playing his string bass, or setting up a party in the lounge/mess hall. John is very loyal to his friends and will defend them to nearly no end when need be. Once John puts his mind to something it is more likely to be sucked into sub-space than it is that he\'ll give up. Sometimes he can be a bit arrogant but usually settles down after a while. He can be emotional when he feels he has been wronged and will not hesitate to show it. John has always liked both listening, and playing music. He also likes solving puzzles, he sees them as a way to expand the brains capacity. On the Holo-novel rating list of one to five, five being the hardest, John often chooses fives when looking for a new holo-mystery. As far as food goes, John loves earth seafood, he can sit down at a plate of crab legs and eat for what seems like hours. John has also developed a taste for Vulcan, Andorian, and Klingon specialties. He especially likes live gagh. John has only a few major dislikes. One, he doesn\'t like \"ordinary\" people, he thinks they are trying to hide something from the rest of the galaxy. The second is the Borg, this stems from the battle at wolf 359 where both his parents were killed. He was very pleased though, when Voyager returned with news that they had, hopefuly, delivered a crippling blow to the Borg on their way home.
Strengths & Weaknesses		Johns strength by far is his intellegence. At the age of seven he had already began studying matter-antimatter reactors, and by ten was studying temporal mechanics. He is also able to think on his feet rather quickly. Many of his judgements about people are made within the first thirty seconds of meeting them, and most of the time, they are right, but on occasion, they are wrong. One of Johns weaknesses are that he hates to be wrong. During the Kobiashi Maru simulation John took his turn as commander and, as programmed, he lost. For the next three weeks whenever he was not in class he spent studying the holo-recordings of his mission and disecting his mistakes.
Ambitions		John hopes that he will one day become a starship captain. He also hopes that perhaps he may join the elite of the captains such as Archer, Kirk, Picard, Sisko, and Janeway. Above all though, John wishes to earn the respect, admiration, and hopefully, the friendships of those he serves with.
Hobbies & Interests		John started playing the string bass when he was four years old. He played in many orchestras\' including the Lunar Philharmoic, and the Starfleet Academy Chamber Orchestra. John also likes to program holodeck simulations and has even written a few holo-novels, although none were published, a one of them won first prize in a contest at his high school. John has never quite liked the taste of replicated food so when ever he can he likes to cook his own food. If the ship has a kitchen on board he will use it but if not he will replicate parts to put a small one together in his quarters.

Personal History		John was born on January 20, 2361 by earth standard time, in Utopia Planitia. In 2365 his father was transferred to the USS Gage. In 2366 during the battle at Wolf 359 both his father and his mother were killed when the USS Gage was destroyed. However he was brought aboard an escape pod by a ensign James Robinson just moments before the warp core breached. After the battle he was adopted by the Robinsons and was brought to see several councilers before finally moving in with his new family. From then until he was thirteen years old John saw a counciler at least once a month. Several of his later councilers noted that he was channeling much of his emotions into studying. They felt this was a good way for him to releive some of his stress. John started playing the string bass when he was twelve years old. He evoted much of his time to playing and still managed to keep his grades up in his advanced classes. By the time he was sixteen he had been featured in many top orchestras including the Lunar Philharmoic, and the T\'Pol symphony. As he grew older it became apparent that he was born to be in starfleet, excelling in many areas including warp technology, temporal mechanics and piloting. In 2376 at the age of six-teen he moved to Dallas, Texas on Earth. In 2377 for his science class final project John surprised both his teachers and starfleet by creating a temporal generator. According to scans conducted by starfleet scientists, the generator created a temporal anomaly 1/1000th of a centimeter in diameter for 0.381 seconds. Although his experiment was a success, he received only a \"D\" grade because he failed to follow the rules. In 2379 he entered Starfleet academy and again, excelled in nearly all of his classes. In 2379 John joined the Nova Squadron at Starfleet Academy. That year he also met, and became good friends with, the former Borg, and Voyager crewmember Icheb. The next year, he found himself the Nova Squadron leader. He graduated in 2383 ranked second in his class. Soon after graduating John was contacted by Commander Seth Sorenson of the USS Pioneer. Sorenson had been at the graduation cerimony where the Nova squadron had performed and was impressed by the yound pilot. During an earlier mission the Pioneers Chief Flight Control officer had been badly wounded and was unable to continue his duties and so Sorenson offered John the position and the offer was soon accepted. Johns first mission aboard the Pioneer is classified but what is known is that due to the experimental eclipse device, the USS Pioneer was destroyed. Three months after the destruction of the Pioneer John was contacted by Ambassador Mordred Ocal. Starfleet had seen her fit to command a ship and she had been given the Pioneers sister ship, the Frontier. John was requested to join the Frontier as the Chief Flight Control officer. Even though he had also been requested to become the Chief flight control officer of the USS Merlin and get a promotion, John accepted the Ambassadors request. After several months of skirmishes with the Federations new neighbor, the Elyshan Empire, the Frontier returned to earth and John was given a promotion to Lieutenant Junior Grade. Unfortunately Johns celebration was short lived as his adoptive father soon died in a shuttle accident. Just after the funeral, however, John was revisited by a ghost from the past. Starfleet had been detecting major subspace disturbances in the area the USS Pioneer was last heard of. The USS Frontier along with the new USS Pioneer were dispatched to investigate. When the Frontier arived on the scene they found the old and new Pioneer locked in battle against one another. The Frontier was able to fend off the old Pioneer but not before taking serious damage. After several days of cat and mouse the Frontier and new Pioneer were able to rescue the survivors of the old Pioneer and defeat the Borg type beings who had been created by the effects of the eclipse device on systems onboard the pioneer. After repairs were completed to the Frontier she was sent on a diplomatic mission to the gamma quadrant. Full details are unavailable due to violations of the Temporal Prime Directive but it is believed that the Frontier was sent forward in time, perhaps by the prophets, to a time where the Federation and the Elyshan Empire were at war. Later that year Lt. Commander Sara Vickers, the newly promoted XO of the Frontier, and Lt. Mor\'tah son of Tor\'ra got married. On the ships way back from the klingon homeworld John was involved in a war game where he, along with a certain percentage of the crew and senior staff, attempted to seize control of the Frontier.
