Weekend Updates

Greetings All!

Just to make sure everyone knows about everything that\'s been going on over the past few days, here\'s a brief update...

SKINS - You can now choose from a bunch of new site skins, including Klingon, Romulan, Dominion, Cardassian, and Borg! Of course, you can always stick with the generic blue skin, or you can use the \"Space\" skin (which doesn\'t work very well on my computer, but at least now it\'s Frontier themed).

RANKS - In addition to a custom skin, you can now customize whether you want the site ranks to appear as Late DS9 era (default) or Voyager era. Then there are the Dress Ranks, but those will only be applied to the site on special occassions :-)

FLEET - Obsidian Fleet denied our application for admittance based on the fact that we\'ve only been active for three weeks (as a standing rule, there is a six month minimum for SIMMs that wish to join the fleet). Fortunately, Horizon Fleet (which was created by people who used to be in OF) has shown an interest in us and, hopefully, won\'t deny our application on that same basis.

I\'ve heard really great things about Horizon Fleet, so I am very hopeful that, if they accept our application, we\'ll be much better off in the long run :-)

MISSION - Things are going really well so far. Once the mission gets started, the title is going to change to \"Dark Spaze,\" technically making it Mission 1.3 (since they\'re all related). If you check the Ship\'s Database, you\'ll find a bunch of information on the Elyshan Empire. I\'m actually planning for us to be involved in a long story arch related to the Empire which will have a great many plot elements for every department to enjoy.
