Greetings All!
So far, our first week is going VERY well. Already our crew has grown to seven, and I am very hopeful that we\'ll gain at least three more former Pioneer crewmen once the Frontier successfully launches. If not, oh well! We\'ve overcome small numbers before, and we\'ll do it again :-)
OBSIDIAN FLEET UPDATE - I\'ve been in contact with RAdm. Thelek Uvar of the London, but it will still be a while before the Frontier is officially allowed into Obsidian Fleet. Unfortunately, dealing with a fleet means dealing with a whole lot of red tape, so I\'ll just keep chugging along and hopefully we\'ll have the whole matter sorted out within a couple of weeks. Ideally, I\'d like to have the Frontier replace the Pioneer in Task Group 21-A, but that\'s entirely up to the OF Triad, so we\'ll see.
With respect to the e-mails everyone got from Admiral Uvar, please don\'t be concerned. I am hopeful that the Frontier will get into OF in due time, at which point everyone\'s character and records can be reactivated on the OF site and listed as official members of the Frontier crew.
PIONEER UPDATE - Some of you may be wondering what\'s going on with the Pioneer. As far as I know, the site will be shut down some time soon and all of the information on it may very well be lost forever once that happens. If there\'s anything you want off of the site, save it now.
Originally, I was planning on naming our SIMM the USS Pioneer NCC 74757-A, but at the last second I decided that this would not be fair to Commander Sorenson should he ever decide to recover the Pioneer and become active again (which, hopefully, one day he will). He and I were thinking about starting a Pioneer sister ship called the Frontier a while back, and so I decided to go with the Frontier as a new ship and unofficially end the Eclipse mission with the Pioneer being pulled into sub-space. I am very hopeful that one day, the ship and the lost members of its crew will emerge, but until then, the Frontier and its crew will continue on the legacy started on the Pioneer.
POSTING/MISSION UPDATE - I am very proud of you all for coming to the Frontier, and even prouder of you for being so active so soon after transferring. Your loyalty, your devotion, and your talent are the reasons why I love SIMMing with you and why I\'ve worked so hard to save your characters, our storylines, and everything Commander Sorenson and I built on the Pioneer. Keep up the great work, and within the next few days, we\'ll officially begin Mission One by having everyone report for duty on the Frontier and sit in on their first mission briefing.
I\'m still working on the site, so let me know if there\'s anything you want/need me to add. Comments, questions, and concerns are always welcome :-)
Until next time, keep up the great work, have an amazing week, and I\'ll talk to you all soon!
Warm Regards,
Ambassador Mordred Ocal
Commanding Officer, USS Frontier
