SIMM Status

Greetings Former Pioneers!

After waking up this morning and looking at the Frontier site as a whole, the first thing that came ot mind was... \"DAMN! Not bad for a single day\'s work!\" haha. Sorry, had to give myself a little pat on the back before my coffee kicks in.

In actual news, I really am impressed with how far this SIMM has already come in 24 hours. We technically have enough crewmen to have an \"active crew\" by Obsidian Fleet standards, although since Raemet is my playing NPC, we really only have five. I think we\'ve also had a great start to posting, all things considered. Keep up the good work, use this time to think (and post) about what happened then and since then, and try and think about what you\'re gonna do in a few days when the Frontier officially launches.

I\'d like to take a moment to personally thank everyone who has transferred or will be transferring from the USS Pioneer to the Frontier. I cannot tell you how happy I am to be getting some of my favorite SIMMers back together. Sara, I can\'t wait to get you and Raemet posting together again. Yoran, having served as CMO for so long and through so much, you\'ve received a promotion to full Lieutenant. Jennifer, I can\'t even begin to say how excited I am to have you not only back on my ship but at my side as Executive Officer. Not gonna lie... it\'s gonna take me a while to get used to seeing you in a red uniform :-)

I\'ve taken the liberty of transferring everyone\'s awards over from the Pioneer. They should be showing up on your biographies now. The one exception to that is Yoran\'s Gold Merit Award, which according to my records you technically don\'t qualify for because you rejoined Pioneer after January, the month we won the award. On the bright side, you should all make room on your uniforms for a whole bunch of new Gold Awards because I have a really strong feeling that the Frontier is gonna kick some butt in Obsidian Fleet.

Speaking of OF, the Frontier is not *officially* in Obsidian Fleet yet. I have contacted RAdm. Thelek Uvar on the London and informed him of our situation, so hopefully I will hear back from him soon. Worse case scenario, we fly under our own banner for a little while and then join OF, or else if everyone\'s really itching for a change, there\'s always Horizon Fleet.

Lastly, on the matter of our first real mission... we\'ll probably start it some time later next week depending on how all the transfers and everything with OF goes. Right now, the site is in excellent condition and all of the necessary content is in place for us to disembark, although I\'d like to add some Rules and Database pages before then. Please please please let me know if you have any suggestions for anything. Since we\'re just getting started, I want to make sure we get off on the right foot... I\'ve been so busy trying to get this site off the ground that I may have missed something important that needs to get done before the ship leaves spacedock.
