Returning Characters, Things to Come

Greetings All!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed some time off! My weekend was great, but it's definitely good to be back and ready to simm ;-)

First and foremost, I would like to take a moment to welcome several members of the crew back to action since I didn't formally do so thus far. Please join me in extending a VERY warm welcome back to Doctor Yoran Russell (a founding member of this crew), Lieutenant Shrex (played by Dave AKA Jennifer Morgan, who was a founding member of this crew), Lieutenant Aa'rion Anwamane (a very talented off-and-on Frontier veteran), Jett Jackson (who has been on ELOA for several months up until this mission), and Islok Iglesa (a previously established Frontier character).

All of these players are extremely talented, and will quickly prove to us all why they are among the best at their respective jobs.

Now, as for things to come. There are several JPs in progress right now which will essentially move the plot forward from us being docked at Starbase to us leaving to respond to a distress signal. The distress signal will point us in the direction of the aliens' home world, and that will reveal the presence of Romulan Federation (Mirror Universe) forces which we will need to study and eventually figure out a way to thwart.

In the meanwhile, there are a few storylines I want to see progressing this week. For one, I want to see the entire Science Department (NPCs included) getting better acquainted and working together on a project of some sort until we arrive at the planet that will be at the center of this mission.

For another, I would like to see Shrex's character become better acquainted with some of the more technical members of the crew like Dengar, David, and John.

With the return of Aa'rion, I anticipate some friction between him and Midnight, and between him and Ocal. Conversely, I want to see Kate Anwamane (NPC) working on the Aurus/Erib/Jett storyline.

Mor'tah, I would like to get you more involved in the early part of this mission somehow (possibly with the children) before we really begin working on the Mirror Universe portion of this storyline. Any suggestions?

Finally, Sara and Sjade. You guys, as the XO and 2XO, should be working with all of the various members of the crew (maybe split things up between the two of you) to keep them active and explore their individual storylines. Thus far, you guys have been doing great, but we've got a LOT of characters on the simm now, and I don't want any to fall through the cracks.

In the meanwhile, I am going to continue to work hard to start and monitor important JPs, that way this mission can continually move forward instead of stalling like some missions past.

Please please please let me know if you have questions or concerns or ideas, as I really want this mission to be a success, and even more so, I want everyone to enjoy themselves!
