Promotions!

Greetings All!

For the first time in probably a year, Commander Vickers and I have decided to shake things up a little bit by handing out promotions!

Please keep in mind that, in determining who will receive promotions, we do not only take into account a person's contributions to the simm. We also take their character's recent activities, their overall biography, and the general rank distribution into consideration.

So, that said, we are pleased to announce the following promotions...

Doctor Aurus th'Umeryk has been promoted to his correct in-character rank of Lieutenant Commander based on the skill he showed during our previous mission, as well as his biography and the fact that the player behind him is also a successful CO on another Horizon Fleet simm. He demonstrates several of the characteristics we look for in leaders on this ship by playing within the limitations of his character, actively engaging other members of the crew in posts, and by submitting good quality posts on a regular basis.

In addition, John Forest and Jacob Warrington have both been promoted to Lieutenants. They were both highly active during these past few missions IC and OOC, and, as I said about Doctor Aurus, they demonstrate many of the skills that we try to instill in all of you.

Finally, Miss Neptune has been promoted to Lieutenant JG for her initiative, creativity, and hard work. Plus, she has now been on the Frontier for over a year! Congratulations, Ensign!

One final note, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Ensign Jeori Duard to the USS Frontier. He will be in training in-character to assume the role of Chief Science Officer, and OOC, I am working on training him to become a future Horizon Fleet CO. Please make him feel welcome :)
