Posting and More

Posted on Fri Jul 20th, 2007 @ 8:13pm by Captain Mordred Ocal

Hey all,

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that we\'ll be entering the Necro Expanse on Monday probably. I see that we\'ve got eight saved posts at the moment, so please do your best to get those completed by then and post about anything else you\'d like to happen before 1800 Hours, MD-02.

Once we\'re in the Expanse, I\'ll send out additional information pertaining to each department so that everyone knows what to post about in general to go along with the major plot. At the same time, I\'d like everyone to keep working on their respective sub-plots so that we have some other stories going on besides the main one. Remember, it\'s very difficult to keep everyone actively involved in a single storyline, so by working together on sub-plots or developing one of your own, it ensures that you\'ll have something interesting to do in-character until something comes up in the major plot which requires your attention. Basically, that\'s why there\'s usually at least two or three stories going on at once in each episode of Star Trek... to keep as many of the main characters as possible involved.

If you have any questions or suggestions, or if you\'d like some help with a sub-plot, please let me know and we\'ll try to figure something out.

On one last note, I think I\'m going to reinstate the old MSN Messenger rule from the USS Pioneer. From now on, I\'m going to try and keep active on there so that people can get ahold of me when they need to, and so that I can get Joint Posts done a whole lot faster with people. If everyone else could do their best to try and stay active on MSN (or even better, Windows Live Messenger), it would be an immense help to the SIMM because Joint Posts could be done all at once as opposed to the current back-and-forth system we\'ve got going on right now.

At the moment, the USS Frontier is one of the most active and well-organized SIMMs in Horizon Fleet (I\'ve been checking out the competition, haha), so if we just put a little bit of extra effort in, we can easily rise to the top of the ranks and earn the respect of the Fleet. Also keep in mind that regular activity and quality posts weigh very heavily in the promotions and awards decisions that come at the end of each mission. \"Dark Spaze\" is Mission 1.2 and the final part of our first mission. Because the mission was relatively short, I do not anticipate any promotions, but there may be a few awards handed out, so please keep that in mind.

Other than that, nothing new to report. Keep up the great work everyone! Send me a message if you need anything :-)

Warm Regards,

Ambassador Mordred Ocal
Commanding Officer, USS Frontier
