Site Updates and More

Greetings All!

I\'d like to start by announcing two major updates to the ship\'s Database. The first, a Quotes page, was recommended by Lieutenant Mor\'tah. This is where really funny (or sometimes, just really good) quotes will be added to preserve them and recognize the person who came up with them. Just send me a private message if you\'d like to nominate a quote from somebody\'s mission post or personal log, provided it\'s not your own. The second update contains Storyline information, lists the major story archs and minor sub-plots on the ship, and gives a brief summary of each. I am hopeful that this will help new players and/or visitors figure out in a nut-shell what\'s happening on the ship without having to reread every single post.

In other news, there seems to be an occassional bug on the site where some posts are sent out but not saved properly on the site. If this happens, please let me know so I can remedy the situation. In the event that you are not receiving certain posts by e-mail but are receiving some, your e-mail service is most likely to blame, as even mine tends to filter some out from time to time.

The mission is going very well so far, and I am very, very impressed with how well the sub-plots are doing, especially in relation to one another and the major storyline, as well. Anyone who isn\'t actively involved in either the sub-plots or the major plot should find a way into either one, create a sub-plot of their own, or contact me for assistance. Once we get to the Expanse, I\'m sure everyone will have plenty to do, especially if they\'re involved in one or more of the sub-plots, but until then, I\'d really like for everyone to try and stay as active as possible.

At some point or another, we\'re going to jump ahead to our arrival at the outskirts of the Expanse, but that will totally depend on how long it takes to reach a temporary standstill in the current sub-plots, or how long it takes for them to lead up to our arrival. Once we do arrive, we\'ll enter the Expanse and begin scanning and charting the area. Jennifer, Panthea, and Raemet (if he ever gets out of Sickbay) should have a field day with the anomalies within the Expanse. Stephen can also have some fun with it once we enter and I work with him to figure out what\'s going on out there. In the meanwhile, Shade, John, Mor\'tah, and Sara are probably going to be busy working on the sub-plots, so make sure you continue to drag these events out as much as possible. It\'s not as interesting if we find out what\'s really going on right away, we want a little suspense, a couple twists, and even a little confusion to mix things up a bit.

Also, side note - I\'ve updated the Chain of Command. As best I can tell, it\'s accurate, but I could be wrong. I\'m sure somebody will let me know, haha.

I\'m very, very proud of you all for how active and creative you\'ve all been, and I can\'t believe how many posts have been submitted already this month. You\'re all amazing! Also, don\'t forget... when all else fails, write a Personal Log. They\'re pretty easy and can basically just summarize what your character is feeling or dealing with right now in light of everything that\'s happening (being on a new ship, the major plot, the sub-plots, something entirely unrelated, whatever).
